There’s never been more pressure on medical and healthcare practices to save money and operate more efficiently; there are more regulations to implement, more ‘paperwork’ to complete and you only have the same number of hours in the day. The danger is that if you cut corners in your processes you run the risk of providing a reduced level of care to your patients. It’s inevitable that something has to give, isn’t it? Whether it’s the amount of time you can spend with your patients which suffers, meaning you’re unable to continue giving them the high quality of healthcare they deserve, or the amount of time you can spend on building and growing your practice to increase income, you must be wondering how to fit it all in!  (more…)

Holiday luggageIn my past employment, I spent many years working as an Office Manager, in a variety of businesses.  I managed small teams of admin staff and was responsible for ensuring that the admin side of the business ran smoothly.  Now, in a perfect world, that sounds straightforward enough – recruit the right people for the job, train them where needed and work with them to achieve the best possible outcome.  The problem comes when one of them decides to take a holiday.
